Default Guild Quest Idea

I don't know how you guys feel but I think a great addition to the current game would be more overly hard Boss missions, just a couple that would be specific to the area and a group of 8 since that is the max, or possibly increase it to 10 for a special slalying type group run.

I only thought of this is because many of the people I play with who have come from WoW or EQ really enjoyed that aspect of taking a large group to take on a very very high level enemy.

I know we have an option to take on Glint in the game, but what about others, maybe creatures pushing that Lvl 40 Mark that are just massive.

Possibly guild specific questing options to take it on as a guild.

I just think it would be fun to gear up for a massive fight not only for bragging rights but possibly skill points or attribute point quests that are extremely difficult and only teamwork can accomplish it.

I.E. Guild forms, guild begins PvE'ing. Guild message comes in that a fearful challenge in the form of Boss "Blah Blah" has arrised, when your guild is ready face the challenge, and it would remain a guild quest that would invoke teamwork and guilds that actually work together as a group to take on such hard extensive challenges and extend gameplay even further. When a % of a guild hits a certain point on the game or map new guild challenges are issued in the forms of large bosses.

Just an Idea, voice or flame.

Default I like the idea of a Guild Quest

I thought of a similar idea this morning but did a forum search before starting a thread. Led me here.

Guild quests could work somewhat like the Arthurian quest for the Holy Grail. Members dispatched to the far corners of the game seeking an item or items, defeating special mission series, or unlocking special maps accessible only to groups comprised of guild members. Potentially, it could require a guild to simultaneously have as many as three disparate groups out at any one time seeking to complete different aspects of the quest.

Guild quests could also be a means of winning guild hall improvements.

Those people who cannot find a guild they are comfortable with could form their own, private one person guild although I suspect accomplishing anything with henchmen as you accompaniment would be hard at high levels.

Perhaps if a guild accomplished this task, an announcement would be made in all public areas. Alternatively, post on the main GW page thos guilds successfully completing a guild quest.

Quests should probably be time sensitive and completed only once per the lifetime of a guild and/or player. I added the player limit to prevent the appearance of "professional guild quest guides" from arising. Zones unlocked would still be accessible by the guild but not for the major rewards (improvements, skill points, quest xp, etc.)

hehehe, I love Monty Python although the more intoxicated you are, the better!

But what do you think of a guild quest or maybe more than one?

BTW, I guess you could quest for shubbery as there are bonus' in game against plants!

I love the Idea, I would love to go hunting a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge hydra-like creature with my guild. I dont mean big, I mean HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE, as in really friggin big!

hmm here my simple but probably quite nice idea...

some guildhalll based guild AND / OR alliance challenge things...can be either guild or alliance challenges.

start with easy ones as a 1st challenge, like a huge horse of smaller monsters, i.e. 15-20 lvl.
then make followups getting harder and harder, maby make some combinations of bosses like in the elona djinn city mission, where u fight all 3 the djinn bosses in 1 fight.

beside of that get alliance challenges also.
like for example make just a map where u can enter with say 10 or 20 or 40 people, and have as enemies an whole army like starting with summits, then mursaat, then titans, then FoW/UW things and so on to maby a last one with a huge amount of lvl 30 bosses such as the darkness from tombs and titan bosses and so on.

problem would be the rewards on it...probably should think of a guild and/or alliance title on the progress of it. or faction rewards on finish each thing and put different levels on it like normal expert and masters.


just an idea tho, but it looks a good 1.
partially based on WoW raiding, which is quite the same: gather 20-40 people and beat the impossible.
